Sister Homes

Inspired by Carla, “Sister Homes” honors her family and property in the Pacific Northwest. As the sun rises over both her and her sister's home, the newest member of their family, Shelby, enters the scene. As an adopted dog, Shelby has finally found her forever home! Likewise, this painting also honors their deceased dog, Ziva, who found sanctuary at this property during her last years of life. This painting encourages Carla to honor Ziva in times of remembrance and transforms, like the new moon brings new beginnings,  to see Shelby in times of celebration.
