Inspired by Jasmine, “Connecting Currents” is a gift to her partner, Gabe, embodying their everlasting connection. Set at their home in the Pacific Northwest, the landscape takes after Jasmine’s roots of the Tulalip tribe, highlighting the rivers that flow from the Cascade mountains through the valley and into the Puget Sound. The sacred salmon jumps from these rivers symbolizing abundance and prosperity while the sacred orcas swim in the sound symbolizing strength and power. As Jasmine and Gabe find themselves canoeing among the full moon’s reflection along the water, may they remember all the spirits supporting them along the way; including Gabe’s dog, Duke, who passed from our physical world, but is always connected with us in spirit, watching over his best friend.
